What to Expect

Most people like to know a little bit about what to expect when they visit somewhere for the first time.

Attending a new church is no exception.

The first thing you can expect when you visit Parkway is to be greeted by a friendly and helpful person who will assist you in finding your way around.

If you are here for Sunday School come to the Welcome Center on the first floor of the building to your left as you come into the parking lot. Greeters will be there to help you determine the Bible study class you would like to attend and to take you there.  For adults who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 there is coffee available in the fellowship hall.

If you are attending worship as your first experience with us come to the narthex of our sanctuary.

Just look for the cross on the top of the building and enter through the doors beneath. There ushers will greet you, offer you an order of worship and help you to find a seat.

Our worship service is classic in format, featuring hymns, occasional choruses and lots of congregational participation. Our emphasis is on reverence and awareness of the presence of God that leads us to grateful praise.  Our pastor and other ministers seek to present sermons that are firmly rooted in biblical truth and are relevant to the lives of contemporary worshippers. At the conclusion of the worship service an opportunity is given for anyone who feels led to profess faith in Jesus Christ as his or her Savior, or, if you are already a Christian, to express the desire to join our congregation.

Our members always linger at the conclusion of the service to check up on one another and to meet guests. Please remain for a few moments before you leave to give those around you a chance to meet you. We want to get to know you and to help you to feel at home among us.
