One of the most important ways that we continue to grow in our faith is through our support and encouragement of one another. Parkway’s men’s group endeavors to do just that through the study of relevant books and open discussion of our struggles and challenges as we seek to follow Christ.
Any man is welcome to join us for our weekly meetings in the conference room at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays.
On June 7 we will begin a study of Pete Grieg’s How to Hear God: a Simple Guide for Normal People. Nothing could possibly matter more than learning to discern the voice of God, but few things in life are more susceptible to delusion and deception. Using Luke’s account of Jesus’ conversation with two disciples on the road to Emmaus as a guide, Grieg shows how to hear God through the Bible, through prayer, through prophecy, and through the ancient practice of Lectio Divina. Whether you have been a Christian for many years or have just started the journey of faith, we can all benefit from becoming more adept at hearing the voice of God. Please consider joining us.
