From the Children’s Ministry . . .

It’s hard to believe that December is here and Christmas is just a few weeks away! Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. I love the decorations, music and traditions of Christmas.  Last year, one of the things I missed the most was the Elf Workshop.  This year our Elf Workshop will be held in our new playroom at the church. This will provide us with the space we need to spread out and maintain social distancing. This event will be held Friday night, December 10, from 6 until 9. Dinner will be provided for the children. Youth siblings are invited to join us to help with crafts and games,

For the last several weeks during Children’s Worship, we have taken The Lord’s Prayer line by line and talked about what it means. As is usual with our Parkway children, I have been impressed with not only their understanding of scripture, but their ability to dive deeper into its meaning. A few years ago, we spent New Year’s Day discussing the importance of prayer and made a commitment to pray for everyone in the Parkway family during the new year. My hope is that at the conclusion of our study on The Lord’s Prayer, we will once again make a commitment to pray for our church. I hope that in 2022 emphasis will be on our children’s ministry and what we can do to improve. I want the children’s opinions on what we have been doing and what we need to do in the future. I look forward to hearing what they have to say and making it so.

I wish for you all a very joyful holiday season! I hope that you are able to spend quality time as a family and that you will find time to celebrate and to rest!

Merry Christmas!!
