From the Children’s Ministry….

If there has been one good thing to come from being away from in person worship this past year, it is the time that we have been able to make renovations to many of our Sunday School spaces.  I can’t wait for you to see the fruits of Don Nanney, Linda King, Betty Suiter and the work crew’s labor!  In the indoor play area, a climbing wall and a loft have been constructed.  The older children have made good suggestions for their side of the space that I am working to make happen. There will be something for every age!

In the Sunday School rooms, there is new paint, new flooring, and, where needed, new furniture. There is still work to be done, but the spaces already look a hundred percent better than they looked before.  Hopefully, we will be able to put those spaces to good use soon!

I am optimistic that we will be able to attend Passport Kids Camp this summer at Rock Eagle.  Passport Camps have carefully developed a plan to keep all the campers as safe as possible while attending camp.  I have sent parents the information that I have received. In June, we will have a parent meeting, either in person or virtually, to go over the final plan for camp.  In the meantime, any parents who have concerns or questions should call or email me so that I can pass those on to Passport Camps and get answers for them.

It’s hard to believe that we are approaching a year of being apart.  I know that we are all anxious to get back to some form of “normalcy”.  Parkway has been so fortunate to have had so few members test positive for Covid 19.  Please do not let up now with hope for an end in sight! Continue to wear your masks and stay safe!  It will all be worth it when we all are able to gather again together!
