The Book of Revelation is perhaps the most misunderstood book in the Bible. While describing in symbolic terms the great cosmic battle between God and evil, its original purpose was to encourage Christians to be faithful in difficult times. Thus it continues to have relevance to all who seek to follow Christ today — regardless of how much time any individual or humanity has left on earth.

Since the coming of Jesus Christ we have been living in the “times between.” John the Revelator helps us to know how to do that.

This four-part series can only touch on some of the major themes of the book, but together they should give us an overview that can spur further study into God’s message for the Church today.

Messages in the series are:

August 13 “Worthy Worship”
Revelation 4:1-11

August 20 “Worthy Is the Lamb”
Revelation 5:1-13

August 27 “Are You Washed in the Blood?”
Revelation 6:1-8; 7:9-17

September 3 “Where God Will Be”
Revelation 16:20-22
