Thanking God for you!

When I moved to the Atlanta area almost five years ago, I had no idea that I would find a church like Parkway Baptist Church, although I certainly yearned for such a place. As many of you know, I moved to the area after living overseas for more than fifteen years. I needed to live close to the airport for my ministry and hoped that I would find a church where I could rest between trips.

What I found, instead, was family. What I found was a home. I found each of you.

I want to take this moment to thank you…each of you…for loving me as a sister, daughter or friend. You have allowed me to rest and be cared for between my trips overseas but more than that, you have allowed me to simply be “Kristy” when I am home. I have been able to use my gifts to help the church just as each of you use your gifts and you’ve allowed me to share with you my passion for missions. At every turn when I’ve needed you, you’ve been there and I am beyond blessed to have you in my life. And when I can, you call upon me to help you…that’s what being a family is all about.

Thank you!

I am forever grateful that God led me to you and that you continue to be open to growing Parkway’s involvement in missions both in the community and the world. This year’s goal for our end-of-the-year giving is $25,000 and a portion of that money will go to support my ministry, something you’ve done from the very beginning of my time at Parkway. I know that you have a lot of choices where to give your money and I am honored that you choose to continue to support the work I do around the world. Please know that I, and the other ministries who are supported by this goal amount, truly count on your ongoing support. Lives will be changed around the world through your generosity.

2 Corinthians 9:7

“Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Colossians 3:15

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.”

Once more, thank you, for being my family and for your love and ongoing support!
